A hot wire CNC cutter is a machine capable of cutting any 3D shapes out of extruded and expanded polystyrene foams EPS and XPS. It cuts using a special hot cutting wire moving in the vertical and horizontal axes. The machine is computer controlled and operates according to our special software ensuring flawless precision, high processing speed and consistently excellent quality.
The main component of the machine is a thin, taut metal wire – often made from nichrome alloy – which is heated via electrical resistance to approximately 200degC upon contact with the material to be cut. When the machine is activated, the heat from the wire vaporises the material to be cut immediately, which allows for quick and accurate cutting. The machine is operated via a PC computer with the aid of special software. The software allows you to create any drawing in the form of a vector graphic and then transfer it to the machine for cutting. The process is fully automatic allowing you to produce any complex design in a short time and at an extremely competitive price.
Our machines can be used to make a variety of products including display letters 3D Logos, raphics, signboards and label for indoor and outdoor advertising, P.O.P. displays, fair stalls, theatre or cinema decorations and decor elements, all types of mock-up products, amusement park rides and any other shape you can imagine. In addition, our machines can also be used to make external wall insulation on construction sites – saving labor and delivering the highest quality of thermal insulation.
Wintech machines are based on modern hot wire CNC cutters technologies and are designed as unique projects, only according to direct customer requirements. Each machine comes with a dedicated software package that ensures the accuracy of each contour and its repeatability. This enables our customers to increase their productivity and expand their design capability enabling them to enter new markets and create larger scale projects. Our machines do not have operational dangers and require minimal maintenance and do not have the typical recurring production errors of other manual cutters.
All our machines have the possibility of upgrading to Titanium wire – an alternative to standard NiCr wire for higher cutting speeds and improved quality. It breaks less frequently and is more resistant to stretching at high temperatures. This option is available for all models 1.3 meter wide and wider.
